Update: Ponte Vista was approved by the full Los Angeles City Council on March 4, 2014.
Ponte Vista was heard by the Los Angeles City Council’s Planning and Land Use Committee on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. This was the second hearing before this committee, and the committee again voted unanimously to send the project to the full City Council.
The Los Angeles City Council’s PLUM Committee unanimously approved the 700-unit plan for Ponte Vista at a public hearing on December 17th, 2013.
On November 14th, 2013, the Los Angeles City Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend Ponte Vista for approval.

May 8, 2014 was an historic day for the Ponte Vista project and San Pedro, as Councilmember Joe Buscaino broke ground at the Western Avenue site by demolishing the first house!
Thank you to Councilmember Joe, the many representatives from the San Pedro community, our neighbors from Rancho Palos Verdes, and the many long-time project supporters who came out to celebrate the big day.
