The new Ponte Vista plan will limit the environmental impacts of this new residential community through green design and sustainable elements. Ponte Vista’s owner is committed to designing to LEED standards. Some of the green design features include drought-resistant landscaping, restored riverine habitat and open spaces, a natural groundwater ltration system (bioswale), bike and walking trails, and the use of alternative energy sources in community buildings. Additionally, Ponte Vista will provide Harbor Area residents with almost 6 acres of open space, including a 2.8 acre public park along Western Avenue.
