Vision Statement

The Harbor area community has been waiting more than a decade for a project to be built at Ponte Vista. The new owner’s proposed plan for the site will transform this blighted piece of property into a vibrant residential community.

At 830 units, the new Ponte Vista is far less dense than previous plans (roughly one-third the number of units originally proposed), and is designed with the families of San Pedro in mind. Housing types included feature a diversity of sizes and layouts to meet the needs of young professionals, families and seniors, across income levels. The overall design has been carefully crafted to highlight the natural beauty of the site, and to lessen the environmental footprint of the buildings wherever possible.

The developer has prepared an entirely new Environmental Impact Report, including a new traffic study. Throughout the design and planning process, significant community input has been sought to ensure that the new plan meets the community’s goals, and creates a quality project that will be approved for development.

The new Ponte Vista project team is committed to moving the new plan through the approval process efficiently, while ensuring that the community has every opportunity to provide feedback.
