Vision Statement
The Harbor Area community has been waiting a decade or more for a project to be built at Ponte Vista. The new owner’s proposed plan for the site will transform this blighted piece of property into a vibrant residential community.
The new plan for Ponte Vista is far less dense than previous plans (less than half the number of units originally proposed), and is designed with the families of San Pedro in mind. Housing types included feature a diversity of sizes and layouts to meet the needs of seniors, families and young professionals, across income levels. The overall design has been carefully crafted to highlight the natural beauty of the site, and to lessen the environmental footprint of the buildings wherever possible.
An entirely new Environmental Impact Report, traffic study and traffic counts will be prepared. Significant community input will be sought to ensure that the new plan meets the community’s goals, and creates a quality project that will be approved for development.
The new owner is committed to moving this new plan through the approval process efficiently, while ensuring that the community has every opportunity to provide feedback.
